Add a tropical twist to a family favourite with our Easy Tropical Tuna Sandwich. Nourishing fruits and vegetables up the fresh factor of this tuna sandwich and Dempster’s® 100% Whole Grains 12 Grain Bread keeps it hearty and satisfying.   • 9 Slices Dempster's® 100% Whole Grains 12 Grain Bread
  • 1 Hard boiled egg
  • 1 (170 g) Can solid white tuna in water, drained
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Diced celery
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Diced dried mango
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Minced green onions
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) Reduced fat olive oil


  1. SLICE egg in half and remove the yolk. Reserve the yolk for another use. Dice egg white halves and place in a medium-mixing bowl. Gently flake the drained tuna and add to the egg along with celery, mango, green onions, mayonnaise, mustard and pineapple. Fold ingredients to combine.
  2. ASSEMBLE sandwich by placing a lettuce leaf on each of four slices of bread, top with a generous scoop of the tuna mixture, two slices of tomato, salt and pepper and the second slice of bread.
