Nourishing Namaste Grilled Cheese

When you’re tummy’s in need of much needed 
nourishment there’s only one thing that can give it serenity- a delicious grilled cheese!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2  slices Dempster’s® 100% Whole Wheat Bread
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) Cranberry sauce
  • 2  Slices Havarti cheese
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) Loosely packed shredded curly kale
  • 2  Slices deli turkey
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Olive oil or softened butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Assemble sandwich by spreading cranberry sauce over one slice of bread. 
  2. Top with one slice of cheese, shredded kale, turkey slices and the second slice of cheese. 
  3. Butter the outside of the sandwich or brush with olive oil. 
  4. Place a small non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side or until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown.
