The classic taste of ham &| cheese wrapped up into a yummy burrito, perfect for a quick and filling school night dinner.

Ingredients


  • 6  Dempster’s® Original Large Tortillas
  • 1 can (398 mL/14 oz) refried beans
  • 3 cups (750 mL) Diced Maple Leaf® Country Kitchen® Smoked Ham
  • 1  Green or red pepper, diced
  • 2  Small tomatoes, diced
  • 1 ½  cups (375 mL) Spanish rice, cooked
  • 1 ½  cups (375 mL) Grated Tex-Mex cheese
  • 1/4  (60 mL) Olive oil
  •  Salsa
  •  Sour cream

Directions


PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C). SPREAD each tortilla with ¼ cup (60 mL) of the refried beans. Mix together ham, peppers, tomato, rice and cheese in a medium bowl. Divide the mixture between each tortilla. Roll tightly, folding the edges to seal as you roll. Place seam side down on a baking sheet. Brush each with olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until crisp on the outside and the inside is hot and melted.  SERVE with salsa and sour cream on the side.
