These zesty and fragrant whole wheat tortilla chips are seasoned with oregano and garlic for a healthy alternative to chips found in the snack aisle.

  • 4 Dempster’s® 100% Whole Wheat 10” tortillas, cut into 8 wedges
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) each garlic powder, salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 cup (250 mL) prepared hummus


Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Toss together tortilla wedges, oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper; arrange in single layer on prepared baking sheets.

Bake, rotating once, for 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp and lightly golden. Let cool completely. Serve baked tortilla chips with hummus.

Tips: For a spicy alternative, season tortillas with 1/4 tsp (1 mL) cayenne pepper.
