- 4 slices Dempster’s® White Bread
- 4 slices Dempster’s® Wheat Bread
- 2/3 cup (150 mL) milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
- Fresh berries (optional)
Cut each bread slice into 4 strips. In shallow dish, whisk together milk, eggs, maple syrup and cinnamon.
Heat butter in large nonstick skillet set over medium heat. Dip bread strips into egg mixture until coated.
Cook bread strips in skillet, flipping once, for 5 to 6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Serve with berries (if using).
Tip: Serve with additional maple syrup or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
