Gruyère cheese and Dijon mustard elevate a kid’s classic to a quick and easy-to-make lunch for grown-ups.
Ingredients
- 2 Dempster’s® 100% Whole Wheat 10” tortillas
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) shredded Gruyère cheese
- 2 cooked all-beef hot dogs
- 1 tsp (5 mL) olive oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Place tortillas on work surface. Brush with Dijon mustard and sprinkle evenly with cheese, leaving a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border all around. Place one hot dog at edge of each tortilla and roll up until completely wrapped. Secure each roll with a toothpick.
Arrange on prepared baking sheet; brush rolls with oil. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until hot dogs are heated through and tortillas are golden. Remove toothpicks before serving.
Tip: Substitute aged Cheddar for Gruyère cheese if desired.
