Our Chicken Pesto Tortilla Wrap is a delicious and easy way to use up the leftovers you already have in your fridge. All you need is a Dempster’s® 100% Whole Wheat Large Tortilla, cooked chicken and a bit of prepared basil pesto. Add some shredded cheese and dinner is served. Serves two.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Dempster's® 100% Whole Wheat Large Tortillas
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) prepared basil pesto
- 1 cup (250 mL) shredded cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) shredded Italian cheese blend
DIRECTIONS
- Spread pesto evenly along centre of each tortilla, leaving a small border at each end. Top with chicken and cheese. Fold up bottom of tortilla over filling, then fold in sides and roll up tightly.
- Heat panini press according to manufacturer's instructions; heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Tip: Alternatively, brush tortillas with oil and bake on parchment paper¬-lined baking sheet in preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for about 10 minutes or until tortillas are golden and cheese is melted.
