For a fun back-to-school lunch idea, try an Ants-On-a-Log Bagel Sandwich. Inspired by the classic snack, this recipe combines peanut butter, raisins and celery on Dempster’s® 100% Whole Wheat Bagels to deliver a filling lunch option that kids will actually like eating. Get your little ones in on the fun by letting them sprinkle the raisin "ants" on each slice. Serves one or two.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Dempster’s® 100% Whole Wheat Bagel, halved
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) thinly sliced celery
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) seedless raisins

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spread each bagel half with peanut butter. Top with celery and raisins.

Tip: You can use crunchy or smooth peanut butter.
