If you're looking for a new take on a BLT, try this Bacon, Tomato and Avocado Sandwich with Sprouts. Avocado and sprouts add texture and a fresh twist to this diner classic. Made with Dempster’s® 100% Whole Grains Multigrain Bread, this is a delicious sandwich you can feel good about eating. Serves two.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 slices Dempster's ® 100% Whole Grain Multigrain Bread, toasted
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) low-fat mayonnaise
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/4 avocado, pitted, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) alfalfa sprouts
- 4 slices bacon, cooked
DIRECTIONS
- Spread mayonnaise over 2 slices of bread; layer tomato, avocado, alfalfa sprouts and bacon over top. Cap with remaining bread.
