When you’re tummy’s in need of much needed
nourishment there’s only one thing that can give it serenity- a delicious grilled cheese!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 slices Dempster’s® 100% Whole Wheat Bread
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) Cranberry sauce
- 2 Slices Havarti cheese
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) Loosely packed shredded curly kale
- 2 Slices deli turkey
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Olive oil or softened butter
DIRECTIONS
- Assemble sandwich by spreading cranberry sauce over one slice of bread.
- Top with one slice of cheese, shredded kale, turkey slices and the second slice of cheese.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich or brush with olive oil.
- Place a small non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side or until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown.
