Elegant and tasty Radish and Chive Tea Sandwiches will be right at home at any shower or afternoon tea. Dempster’s® White Bread serves as a perfect base for the delicate, crunchy radishes and softened cream cheese. Serves four to six.
INGREDIENTS
- 8 slices Dempster's® White Bread
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) softened cream cheese
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped fresh chives
- 1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) lemon juice
- 4 radishes, very thinly sliced
DIRECTIONS
- Mix together cream cheese, chives and lemon juice; spread over 4 slices of bread. Top with radish slices. Cap with remaining bread slices, pressing lightly. Cut crusts from bread; cut each sandwich into 4 triangles.
Tip: To make ahead, cover with a damp tea towel and refrigerate until serving.
