            This Tasty Tortilla Muffaletta is a quick-and-easy take on a classic New Orleans sandwich. Enjoy a savoury blend of meats, cheeses, olives and roasted red peppers folded and baked into a delicious Dempster’s® Original 10” Tortilla. For an extra kick, add slices of pickled hot peppers. Serves two.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Dempster’s® Original 10” Tortillas
 - 4 tsp (20 mL) olive tapenade
 - 2 slices provolone cheese
 - 4 slices Genoa salami
 - 4 slices capicola
 - 2 slices ham
 - 2 slices Fontina cheese
 - 1 jarred roasted red pepper, sliced
 - 1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil
 
DIRECTIONS
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay tortillas on clean work surface; spread olive tapenade evenly over half of each tortilla. Layer slice of provolone, 2 slices salami, 2 slices capicola, slice of ham and slice of Fontina over olive tapenade on each tortilla half; scatter roasted red peppers over top. Fold tortilla in half over the filling.
 - Brush both sides of tortilla with oil; place on prepared pan. Bake in 400°F (200°C) oven for 10 minutes or until cheese starts to melt and tortillas are lightly browned.
 
Tip: Add slices of pickled hot peppers for an extra kick.
