Sliced banana and honey add a touch of sweetness to the creamy avocado in this power breakfast toast.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 slices Dempster’s® 100% Whole Grains Multigrain Bread, toasted
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- Pinch salt
- 1 ripe banana, sliced
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) toasted sliced natural almonds
- 1 tsp (5 mL) honey
DIRECTIONS
- Mash avocado with salt; spread evenly over toast.
- Top with sliced banana. Sprinkle with almonds and drizzle with honey.
Tips:
Add chocolate chips for a decadent touch.
Replace banana with sliced ripe mango, and replace almonds with toasted coconut if desired.
