Breakfast doesn't get better than Peanut Butter and Jam French Toast. Dempster’s® White Bread serves as the base for this delicious egg dish, and icing sugar and cinnamon add a sweet-spicy finish. Top the toast with fresh fruit and whip cream and make Brunch Ideas memorable. Serves four.

  • 8 Slices Dempster’s® White Bread
  • 4 tbsp (60 mL) Peanut butter
  • 4 tbsp (60 mL) Raspberry jam (or your favourite jam)
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2-3 tbsp (30-45 mL) Milk or cream
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • 2-3 tbsp (15-30 mL) Vegetable oil
  • Icing sugar for dusting


  1. SPREAD peanut butter and jam on each of four slices of bread. Top with remaining bread slices.
  2. WHISK the eggs, milk and cinnamon together in a shallow baking dish. HEAT oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Dip each sandwich into egg mixture, coating completely and place into the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  3. SERVE dusted with icing sugar.

Tip: Serve with fresh berries.
