Turn that typical PB&|J sandwich into some yummy french toast, topped with icing sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.

  • 8  Slices Dempster’s® Stays Fresh® White Bread
  • 4 tbsp (60 mL) Peanut butter
  • 4 tbsp (60 mL) Raspberry jam (or your favourite)
  • 6  Eggs
  • 2 tbsp to 3, (30-45 mL) Milk or cream
  •  Pinch cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp to 3, (15-30 mL) Vegetable oil
  •  Icing sugar for dusting


SPREAD peanut butter and jam on each of four slices of bread. Top with remaining bread slices. WHISK the eggs, milk and cinnamon together in a shallow baking dish. HEAT oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Dip each sandwich into egg mixture, coating completely and place into the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. SERVE dusted with icing sugar.
