Goat cheese and pomegranate add zesty flavour to the smooth avocado.

  • 2 slices Dempster’s® Whole Grain Multigrain Bread, toasted
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) crumbled goat cheese
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) toasted pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) pomegranate seeds


Mash together avocado, lemon juice and salt; spread evenly over toast.

Top with crumbled goat cheese. Sprinkle with pumpkin seeds and pomegranate seeds.

Tip: Replace goat cheese with crumbled feta cheese if desired.

Tip: Replace pumpkin seeds with toasted pecans if desired.
