Pomegranate, Goat Cheese and Avocado Toast

Goat cheese and pomegranate add zesty flavour to the smooth avocado.

  • 2 slices Dempster's® Whole Grain Multigrain Bread, toasted
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) crumbled goat cheese
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) toasted pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) pomegranate seeds


  1. Mash together avocado, lemon juice and salt; spread evenly over toast.
  2. Top with crumbled goat cheese. Sprinkle with pumpkin seeds and pomegranate seeds.

Replace goat cheese with crumbled feta cheese if desired.
Replace pumpkin seeds with toasted pecans if desired.
